Project
Location–Need–Benefit–Design–Budget
This project consists of constructing a 120′ single lane vehicle bridge over the Yure River in Canchias, Honduras. The bridge will allow the communities of Canchias and nearby Las Delicious year-round access to the land that they farm on the north side of the Yure River.
The reliability of the is not in question. The issue is its safety, capacity, access and ease of use.
The new bridge will encourages better access for our microenterprise development goals. It’s very difficult to encourage economic development if one must time activity according to river depth rather than need or season.
After doing field work for 50 years in the 30 least economically developed nations, I can attest to the necessity of this bridge. This is an essential project.
